Greetings from the National Agricultural Research Laboratories (NARL) Kawanda. Am delighted to share with you news from the Institute. As we close this financial year, we share with you developments from new projects, new partners and on-going research work.
You will read about inception meetings with our new Local Government partners from Lamwo and Obongi Districts in Northern and West Nile regions of Uganda working on the new seeds project between Uganda and South Sudan.
Find out about the Ministerial visit by Hon. Betty Amongi the Minster of Gender, Labour and Social Development. She came to Kawanda to do a verification for the Food Bioscience and Agribusiness facility for incubation and public user facility status to support agribusiness entrepreneurs respectively.
In this issue you will know why a delegation from the East African Community visited NARL Kawanda. At the Science week 2025 NARO Banana Program was advised to promote paper from banana fiber. On the Indigenous tree day marked on 15th April, NARL staff together with Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) staff planted a famous tree species.
