The National Crops Resources Research Institute (NaCRRI) proudly welcomed the National Defence College Uganda (NDC-U) for an exclusive tour of its facilities on November 29, 2024. The visit brought together senior officers from Uganda’s defense sector to explore the groundbreaking agricultural research driving sustainable development and food security in the country. Dr. Benard Yada, representing NaCRRI’s Research Director, guided the delegation through the institute’s cutting-edge programs, showcasing advancements in climate-smart agriculture, crop productivity, and post-harvest solutions. He highlighted the critical intersection of agriculture and national security, stating, “As we advance research at NaCRRI, we are not just improving crops but also contributing to the broader vision of a resilient and self-reliant Uganda.
